An overcast sky is forecast but the south-facing crag should be dry. I hope to start the approach by 4 p.m.

The best routes are in the E grades, but Holly Tree Grooves and Flake and Crack are HS* and the Chimney (VD) is short but amusing.  Park on the Honister Pass road below the crags near What3words classed/hindered/stray. It would be prudent to identify the crags from the road: Yew Crag Buttress; Lower Buttress; Yew Crag Knotts; Zorro Buttress and Maidenstone Buttress. Note that the OS map is wrong in labelling Buckstone How to the NW of Yew Crags.

We will vote on the pub: some people will be going home east over the pass and others dislike paying to park at the Fish.

I can be contacted at 01900 68227 or colesjonathan3@gmail.com.  Hope to see you there. Jonathan Coles.

The weather, mainly overcast but dry, was about as good as one can have without being annoyed by midges. Peter, Mark W, Steve P, Richard E, Jane L, Aileen R and Jonathan C. enjoyed the splendid view and between them did Yew Crag Needle, The Garden Wall, Holly Tree Grooves and a variant of Holly Tree Grooves that Jonathan nevertheless claims exactly matches the guidebook description.
