There remains a small risk of light showers on Tuesday. However since Thursday turnouts tend to be lower than Tuesday I am keeping the meet as per schedule on Tuesday and crossing my fingers. I will be on the crag from 4 unless it rains in the afternoon.

The gamble paid off, Tuesday came and went with no rainfall in Buttermere so High Crag was dry for the KMCs annual foray.
A party of 10 toiled up the eastern slopes of High Crag(fell) to the foot of the like named crag, the party consisted Mark, Judith, Stuart, Celia, Richard, Mike H, Jon T, Phil, Bob and Matthew. The climbing was good, the weather dry and fairly warm with a light breeze which succeeded in supressing the midges which have tormented us in previous years. Routes climbed included Three Kings, Ludo, Nameless, Artefact, Samson and Delilah.
Refreshment was taken in the Fish, conversations generally drifted towards the delights awaiting those who were lucky enough to be going on the Dolomites trip next week.
