Large broken mountain crag best known for Gillercombe Buttress(S). Up to 140m high. Also Clara Bow(E1), Third Man(E3), Grey Knotts Face(D), Black Knight(E1), Ravens Groove(VS).

Approach notes
Thirty minute approach from Honister Summit or longer and steeper from Seathwaite.

    Looks like the weather could go either way tomorrow but definitely better forecast than Thursday so I will be up at the National Trust car park at Honister at around 3.15. If the weather turns and is obviously too wet, then we will have to call it off.

    5 members ventured into the hills with the threat of rain which never quite appeared, though it wasn’t far away and rumbling was heard.
    Myself and Matt did Grey Knotts Face and Mark, Michael K and new member Dan did Gillercombe Buttress.
