Weather forecast for Tuesday is good so this meet is on. I may or may not be able to lead the meet, I won’t know until Tuesday but the meet should go ahead anyway.

There are two main options depending on what people want to climb.
Firstly, Buckstone Howe with classic mid-grade routeslike Sinister Grooves (VS), Honister Wall (HS) and Cleopatra (HVS) all good routes but beware Buckstone Howe has a deserved reputation for loose rockso climb with care. Best parking for this is Honister Slate mine and approach the crag by essentially contour tracking from the mine across to the crag (there is some ascent to do up one of the wagon roads to the start of the contour)

Alternatively, Yew Crag Knotts Consisting Yew crag Knotts, Maidenstone Buttress and Zorro Buttress. Grades. Parking on the right-hand verge at the foot of the steep part of Honister pass just before the road crosses the stream, approach directly uphill on the left-hand side. Yew crags Knotts has a range of routes at grades from VD through to Es, the rock is generally sound if a little vegetated in places.

It would be good to know if people are going and what their intended destination would be as the various crags are spread out so we will need to coordinate this meet carefully, you can email me at markward1962@gmail.com, WhatsApp or txt to 07500155064

    Cheers
    Mark
