The KMC has grown massively over recent years, with lots of active groups organising trips and events in addition to the regular program. To do this the club must have an informed and active committee.
We are keen to refresh the existing committee so that it best reflects the full range of interests of the Club. So we are looking for volunteers to join the committee. Meetings are very informal – no reams of paper – and usually last 1-2 hours max. There are approximately 2 meetings per year to discuss the summer and winter programs, with additional meetings on an occasional ad hoc basis if there is some specific issue to discuss, supplemented by WhatsApp and e-mail. It is important that KMC activities and policies are driven by the needs and interests of its members. The role of the committee is to support these interests through practical actions e.g. managing the website, subscriptions, safety and to ensure compliance with BMC requirements and good practice.
