The Birthplace of British Rock Climbing. This excellent crag, although rather broken, provides climbing of all grades in superb surroundings with its splendid ridges and steep walls over looking the upper Wasdale Valley and the Scafell Range.
This weekend is the Great Gable, Napes meet, weather is looking quite good at the moment but better on Sunday than Saturday, but we will leave those decisions to nearer the time. Hopefully it will be Saturday. If we meet on the road to seathwaite farm at 9am and make our way to the crag or meet others at the crag at about 10.30/11. If we base ourselves at the viewing gallery next to the needle and then we can work out what to climb. If some want to head more round to the Tophet wall area that’s fine also. If people could message me on the WhatsApp group to let me know who to expect that would be great. Fingers crossed for the weather,
Jon T
