Saturday is forecast cold and dry with some sunshine and light winds, so should be OK for a low level scramble with option to extend into a walk.
Throng Close Buttress is a starred grade 1 route, a pleasant scramble on impeccable rock. There is also a starred grade 3 close by (Crag Band Buttress) for anyone wanting a bigger challenge. From the top of the route it is possible to extend the day into a walk to Seathwaite Tarn and the tops.
Meet at 10 am in the small car park by Seathwaite church (honesty box) just up the road from the Newfield Inn – or contact me at judithbrown3@aol.com for a lift from Cockermouth Business Park, leaving at 8.30.
