ROBBIE PHILLIPS is certainly one of the most exciting young climbers operating in Scotland at the moment. A self-confessed all-around climber, Robbie embraces every facet of the sport, with adventure always at its core. Having scaled Big Walls and made first ascents in distant, exotic locales like Patagonia and Madagascar, Robbie finds his truest sense of home exploring the Scottish Highlands. Here, he seeks out unclimbed, remote boulders and sails the Hebridean Sea in search of long-forgotten sea cliffs at the Edge of the World. From beginnings on Northumberland sandstone to the remote cliffs of lovely, lonely St Kilda Robbie shares some of the most formative moments of his adventurous climbing career through the media of talk, slides and film. While obviously of interest to climbers, this evening presentation will appeal to all who love the outdoors, and especially those wild Western Isles.
