Raven Crag was as slow-dying as expected, but the northerly wind had abated making the day chilly but not Baltic. Eight KMC members squelched up the valley for an hour, to slither up the character-building multi-pitch routes on offer. Given the conditions, ascents were restricted to the classics of Corvus and Raven Crag Buttress. Thanks to Mick, Andrew S, Judith, Anne B, Jon T and Richard E who joined Steve and Kath P. Mention also to new member Luke (and Amy) who hiked in to say “Hello” and learn more about the KMC. The West Cumbria contingent also (just!) made it back to Eskdale before the closure of the newly erected night-time border controls at Calder Bridge.
