The forecast looks sunny and dry for Tuesday’s meet at Raven Crag in Coombe Gill. It is predicted to be a very chilly day for June, with cold Northly winds. The crag is NE facing, so wrap up warm. If the forecast changes I’ll post something on Monday afternoon.
Parking: National Trust Seatoller car park (NY2462 1375; w3w:swooning.requiring.blip) or there are usually a few spaces (honesty box) on the side-road from which the track into Coombe Gill departs. (NY2491 1351; w3w:snowstorm.tile.bright). Approach to the crag is about 50 minutes.
Timings: Kath and I are markedly inconvenienced by the nightly A595 closure at Calder Bridge. So we need to leave the crag at 1900 to ensure we can get home. So, we propose to walk in at lunchtime and do one of the multi-pitch routes. We will then be back at the base of the crag at 1600. Mark Ward has kindly agreed to make sure no-one is left behind after we have to leave.
