Hi,

Weather looks good for Tuesday’s meet at Quayfoot and Wodens Face. Important note re dress code below.

If you head down Borrowdale after 6pm you should be able to get through the road block if you say you’re staying further down the valley. Should be no bother if you are earlier. We all headed back from Shepherd’s in convoy last week and were escorted through the road block.

For those who don’t know these crags, we usually park at the Bowderstone car park and it’s a very short walk to either crag. There’s a range of grades form V Diff upwards, so there’s something for everyone.

I’ll start the evening at Woden’s face. Johnny and I will be dressed as pirates on this occasion (aaaaaargh) just for the entertainment value – and for any newer members, I should be the most identifiable meet leader ever. If anyone else wants to join in our daft fancy dress initiative, please do! If you don’t, you can just pretend you aren’t with us but we’ll greet you enthusiastically anyway :o)

Afterwards, we’d normally go to Bank Tavern in Keswick, but with the road block it may work out better to go to the Borrowdale Hotel – we’ll decide on the night.
