Following a spell of glorious, blue-sky days, a small team met at Loweswater on Saturday morning in dull, grey, icy conditions. A shorter, lower-level circuit was quickly agreed – from the cars heading directly up onto Fellbarrow and across to Low Fell. Apart from a brief snow flurry interrupting lunch, the weather turned out better than expected and we had good views across to Grasmoor and Crummock.
We rounded off the walk with a sociable drink and a warm-up in the Kirkstile Inn.
The team: Anne, Celia, Fiona, Judith, Mark W and dogs.
