As memories of storm Darragh began to fade 9 members of the KMC gathered on a rather chilly Cold fell road for a gentle Sunday stroll. We started to walk and it very quickly became obvious that the weather was indeed going to make itself felt with the icy remnants of storm Darragh scything through clothing and ensuring everyone was wide awake.
In spite of it being very cold and windy the cloud base remained high and visibility excellent which afforded fantastic views inland over the Ennerdale valley, west to the Isle of Man, north to Scotland and south to Ravenglass and beyond. Thanks to Judith, Carol, Geraint, David, Lorraine, Kath, Steve, and Mick for accompanying me on another memorable day on the hill.
The post meet de-brief took place in the Fox and Hounds (well….we needed to warm up!) before members headed home
Cheers
