Hi Everyone, Most of Saturday’s proposed scramble is very wet from extensive seepage. Saturday’s forecast is OK, but the local forecast for Friday is low cloud/mist/drizzle, so the scramble will not be in condition. Hence, we will meet at the Overbeck Car Park in Wasdale (NT, pay and display, w3w:regarding.withdraw.glass) for a 0930 start and climb Yewbarrow (some hand on rock required) and then traverse the ridge and descend to Dore Head (again a few moves of scrambling). Then, if time, we can ascend Red Pike, returning to the cars via the Overbeck valley. This route gives us a good chance of getting above the cloud if the predicted inversion occurs, and the opportunity for those needing time to don their tuxedos for the evening’s club dinner to depart promptly. Due to that constraint we intend to be back at the cars before 1500.
