Raven Crag Yewdale is a delightful Grade 2, 3 star scramble, with a short approach. There is scope to add a further, short pleasant grade 2 if time, weather and enthusiasm allow.
Access is from the narrow lane on the north side of Yewdale, which is signposted for Hodge Close, where there is limited parking.

Just a reminder that this meet is planned for Saturday October 1st. I will confirm later in the week when we have an up-to-date forecast.
Rendezvous will be 10 am at the parking area.
The route is on sound, rough rock, and lies at a low altitude with a short approach. From the Ambleside to Coniston Road, take the lane signposted for Hodge Close. Limited parking is along the lane, almost immediately, just before a bridge.
There will be a lift departing from Cockermouth, Lakeland Business Park, at 8.30

Here is the Met office forecast for Saturday!
Strong west to southwest winds bringing quite frequent showers, these heavy at times with the risk of hail and thunder.
Since the hills will also have had a massive soaking on Friday I’m afraid the scheduled scramble is cancelled unless there is a dramatic improvement in the forecast.
