Large serious mountain crag up to 100m high. Best routes are Newlands Gully (S), Miners Grooves (VS), Ropewalk (MVS), Newlands Buttress (S), Double Slab (VD), Jezebel (VS), Harlot (HVS), Bathsheba (E1), and Corkscrew (HS).
Approach notes
Best approached from summit of Honister Pass (50mins). A longer approach is via the Newlands Valley (1hr 30mins).

In spite of the ongoing wet weather, Tuesdays forecast has been consistently good so Tuesdays meet is on. I will be aiming to leave Honister youth hostel car park at 3 o’clock which will get me to the crag by 4.

For those of you who will be making your own way to the crag I would also appreciate a heads up of your intentions as Miners is a reasonably big crag and I wouldn’t like to miss anyone.

6 members of the club walked in from Honister Hause getting very wet feet in the process, probably should have worn boots after the previous weeks rain- doh!
In spite of the approach the teams split up and bagged Newlands buttress, corkscrew and Double slabs, seepage and damp providing extra excitement for routes in exposed positions and very atmospheric surroundings, thankfully on reassuringly grippy rock. A worthwhile evenings climbingCheers
