    Good morning,
The forecast for tomorrow looks good so this meet is on. The crag can be approached from Honistor (approximately 1 hour) or from Newlands (approximately 1:15 hours)
I will be walking in from Honistor Youth Hostel leaving the Car park about 2:30.

Hostel Car park is National Trust pay and display or alternatively park in the Slate mine with fee to owners.

I cannot car share this week so please let me know if you intend to join me on the crag or at the car park, email markward1962@gmail.com or txt/WhatsApp 07500155064

    Cheers
    Mark

The weather held and on a pleasantly warm summers evening 7 members of the KMC attended Miners Crag, Newlands. The crag lived up to its reputation for loose rock with no less than 3 “bowling” events i.e. where rocks of assorted sizes are dislodged and sent bowling down the crag, fortunately with no serious results. It is however a timely reminder to don your helmet as soon as you arrive at a crag and keep it on as long as you are in close proximity to any crag not just Miners.
Back to the positives, successful ascents were made of Double Slab, Miners Grooves, Talulah, Bathsheba and Harlot, breaking with tradition members all left the crag in good time before being benighted.
Thanks to David, Mark M, Jonathan, Pete, Matt and Adam for joining me and contributing to another satisfying night on the crag

    Cheers
    Mark
