We will be meeting at the main car park in Glenridding at 0930hrs. Location will be in frount of the public toilets.
The route we will undertake will be the two edges of Helvellyn, up Striding, and down Swirral edge.
Depending on the prevailing conditions this event will be a winter scramble ie requiring crampons/ice axes and helmets.

Hi to all,
The Christmas KMC Meet. We will meet in frount of the public toilets in the main car park in Glenridding at 0930hrs.
The route we will be undertakening will be, over Striding edge, and down Swirral edge. Both edges of Helvellyn are under Winter Conditions.
Full winter clothing, Ice axe, crampons and helmets are required.
I will update you all on Thursday 15th Dec via Watts app if there are any changes.
Maybe bring a Santa hat if you wish.See you soon Brendan

Good morning to you all, well we met in Glenridding car park at 0930hrs, it was like a sheet of ice. There was seven of us all suited, and booted and ready to go. The weather conditions were just fabulous. The higher we went the better it got.
We ascended Striding edge, and descended Swirral edge in full winter conditions. Surprising to us all, there was not a breath of wind. We couldn’t have had better conditions.
We were back in Glenridding about 1500hrs for a Christmas Beer in the Ramblers Bar.
The Festive team were – Jamie, Mark H, Gaz, Scot, Jon T, Geraint and Brendan.Happy Christmas to you all, and let’s have a great New Year
