For the Napes meet it looks like Sunday will be the most likely chance of good weather so we will move the meet to then. So far I’ve only had 4 people showing interest and most wanting to second so if we could have more takers who are happy to lead that would be useful and it will be a wonderful day! We will meet at 9 at seathwaite farm road head or at the crag 10.30/11. Let me know if we can expect you. Jon

It’s starting to rain here in Keswick just now and the forecast is saying heavy showers on and off till about 5. So I think it’s better to shift the meet to Thursday and see how it goes. Please let me know if you will hopefully go on Thursday as sometimes not many turn up!

Well the weather hasn’t improved too much but Thursday isn’t looking much better so we will give it a go! I will aim to get there for 4. The met office forecast is now saying the rain is easing from 2 so we could be fine. Probably best to stick with the main middle routes as they dry quicker. Hopefully we will be lucky! Jon

That was the last official evening meet of the year and the weather just about held off. Present were Bob, Matt, Ian, Haresh, Judith, Fiona, Dave, Jonathan, Carol, John M, myself and a guest appearance, for those that saw him,of ex member Robbie. Climbs included were Bits ‘n’ pieces, Odds ‘n’ sods (those are the names, I’m not just trying to get out of naming them all!) Ant highway, Little Cham, Kransic Crack, Fishers folly, Ardus, various brown slabs routes and and Brown crag wall. There were probably a few I’ve missed out but those are the majority. After the meet most of us met for a pint in the Odds ‘n’ Sods pub in Keswick for drink and some Kransic Crack!

    Helm Crag – Meet Report
That was an interesting afternoon/evening with lots of us managing to find parking and the not too frequented crag. There are some good climbs and quite a lot of loose rock and moss with most routes seeming quite high in the grade. Members present were, Phil, John M, myself, Judith, Mark, Bob, Matt, Ian N, Gavin, Jonny, Piers and Haresh. Climbs completed were Ion, Skyglow, Secret no more, Beacon Crack, Holly Tree Crack (going into Flarepath due to wet rock!) Bentley and Pathfinder. After a very hot evenings climbing we made our way back to the Lancrigg Hotel for a drink and chat. Some of the words used to describe the crag included ‘esoteric’ (Judith) ‘climby’ (Ian) and ‘sliding scale’? (Matt) you can tell which one went to Oxford!
