This a short but very wet (unless still frozen) walk to the Outlying Wainwright/Birkett of Faulds Brow and visits the following: an interesting horseshoe limestone quarry, various antiquities on the moor, a small pothole, a short section of spectacular limestone gorge, a bobbin mill and Caldbeck duckpond… The walk will be at a steady pace.
As the walk only takes a maximum of a couple of hours, the start time will be 1030 at Caldbeck Village Hall parking and we can either call at the Oddfellows Arms in Caldbeck afterwards or the Muddy Duck tea room.
I’m not on Whatsapp so people intending to come on the walk will need to e-mail me at: carolanneoliver@aol.com
