It certainly was not dry, but the weather played ball enough to allow us an interesting 10 km walk through Eskdale, including a red squirrel, a raging Stanley Ghyll Force and an encounter with the DMC (Duddon Mountaineering Club) which briefly raised the dog count to 4. The Esk had dropped a little in the time we were out, and the heaviest rain of the day waited until we were back at the cars and on our way to the Bowerhouse.
