    The Met Office forecast is ‘meh’ and the MWIS forecast is unpleasant with predictions of gale-force winds and poor visibility so I am postponing Bowfell meet in hope of better conditions next weekend.

    For this Saturday, conditions at low elevations don’t look too bad so I am proposing a walk around the Loweswater Fells. Meet at the big parking area with the phone box near Waterend at 9.30. (Or contact me if you would like a lift from Cockermouth Business Park aka the Wigwams at 9.10). From that parking area there are various options that can be adapted according to the conditions.

    Hello Judith. May I have a lift from the wigwams at 9.10 tomorrow? (Or, if there is a shortage of cars, I could drive.)
