The forecast is as unsettled as ever for Tuesdays meet at Steel Knotts, but the valley is quite dry and the crag free of seepage this weekend. So subject to weather observations on the day, I’m cautiously optimistic for the meet to go ahead.
The crag has a good selection of routes, mostly between HVS and E4. There are also some short easy routes with bolted anchors on a small crag passed on approach.
Parking around Grange is a bit of a question mark, so please be sensible. Approach from the Bowderstone carpark is currently reasonable, with the river crossable in boots or a refreshing paddle.
