This weeks evening meet is due to be at Dalt Quarry in Borrowdale. Dalt Quarry is a little slate quarry with a swampy bottom but good ledges around the edge. The north side was re-bolted a couple of years ago, and contains about 25 routes mostly graded in the 6s but with a few 5s + 7s. Although it’s short (10m) I’d recommend bringing a clip-stick or boulder pad along as the first bolts are typically 2-3m up. Routes are described in the latest FRCC Lakes Sport and Slate guidebook.
Park at the NT Bowderstone car park and cross the river to avoid a long walk-around over the bridge.
I’ll make a call on Tues morning whether to delay based on the weather forecast. Being slate, wet conditions will be as unforgiving as dodgy footwork!
