The weather is looking good at the moment for this weekends Wallowbarrow Crag meet. I will probably be down in that area for the weekend so will meet you at High Wallowbarrow Farm which has an honesty box. I will be there from around 9.30 then we can walk up to the crag. It’s a good crag with routes for everyone. If everyone could take a rope (50m half) and their own safety gear and any leaders take the usual gubbins. The grid reference for the car park is SD 220 963 or ///adjusted.backers.relishes

The day started a bit damper on the rock than anticipated but most routes dried out nicely creating good conditions for climbing, other routes shall remain Nameless! Lots of good routes were ticked with 18 members in attendance plus quite a few others at the crag. The climbers present in no particular order, including height, ability and daftness, were Joe, Sam, Andrew, Judith, Craig, Anne B, Mark W, Jonathan C, Jamie, Brendan, Aileen, Ros, Geraint, Mick +1, Cath, Steven and myself. Myself and Steven had to come to the rescue of two other climbers on the final climb of our day as they were finding the last pitch of Thomas a little stiff! We took a rope up to the top and belayed them to safety. We all had a great day in the sun and a pint in the Newfield Inn at the end.
