Shepherd’s Crag is a crag in Borrowdale, Cumbria that provides superb rock climbing at every grade on cliffs up to about 50m high. It is a very popular crag, mainly due to its easy access, though many of the routes are of great quality, e.g. Brown Slab Routes(D-VS), Little Chamonix(VD), Ardus(MVS), Derision Groove(MVS), Adam and Eve(VS), Fishers Folly(VS), Kransic Crack(HVS), Finale(HVS), Aaros(E1), Grasp(E1), Bludgeon(E1).

Note The UKC website states that parking is no longer available at High Lodore Farm

Tuesday’s meet is Shepherds Crag and in a surprising turn of events it looks like Tuesday is dry! I’ll be heading to the crag for 3pm. I’ll be somewhere between Brown Slabs and Adam/Eve areas I expect. As its hard to keep track of everyone at Shepherds please drop me a message on Whatsapp or email, particularly if you are a new member, so I know to look out for you. 07963145886 or markamegan@gmail.com . Its the last official summer meet of the year… so I hope we’ll have a good turn out.

I’ll be heading over from Cockermouth direction if anyone wants to share lifts.

    see you then,
    Mark

It was a most enjoyable meet to end this years summer Tuesday schedule, with a good turn out and fine weather. In attendance were Mark W, Geraint, Mike K, Ed, Jane, Mike W, Tina, Bry, Jon, Dan HB, Aileen, Andy and we also welcomed new member Marshall. Climbs completed included Ardus, Aaros, Ovation, Finale, Conclusion, Donkeys Ears, Little Chamonix, C.D.M. , Fishers Folly and something on Brown slabs that I missed… The Borrowdale hotel provided the post climb refreshments and a convivial end to the evening.
