The rejuvenation of the KMC continues with a turnout that occupied all sectors of Shepherd’s: routes were done extending from Brown Crag Wall to Jackdaw Ridge. The rock was bone dry, the sun came out in time to set behind Catbells.  With a big group scattered over a wide crag, and my aging brain, I probably missed some names, but I did note:

Martin A, Geraint B, Judith B, Brendan C, Stu G, Dan H-B, Mark  H, Tina H, Andy L,  Mike M,  Mark M, Aileen R,  Jon T, Jamie, Mark W, Peter W….. and the  welcome return of Jim Fairey.

Thanks to everyone for making such an enjoyable evening (and special thanks to Mark M for climbing Fisher’s Folly twice).

The forecast is that crag should be very dry and that the sky will be overcast.

Parking spaces can be difficult to find: the most likely is the NT park at Kettlewell, about 0.75 km north of the Lodore Hotel. Then take the path on the E side of the road, go through the hotel car park (a sign says: “walkers welcome”), continue along the road for about 200 m and wander up through the woods to find crags. I plan to arrive by bus 78 at 15.40 and initially hang around Fisher’s Folly Buttress.

    Thanks,

    Jonathan
