DATE CHANGE: MEET NOW PLANNED FOR 23rd August
Please note date change for this meet as I am now unavailable for the original date. As my last two scrambles have both had to be moved forward one week due to the weather, maybe I am just anticipating what would happen anyway. Or the weather will be perfect on the original day – who knows, it’s August in the UK, could do anything!!!!

Saturday Scramble : the weather will be much cooler than of late but clear and dry so the meet will go ahead. Meet at the telephone box at Brotherikeld Farm at foot of Hardknott pass. Limited parking is in three grassy bays on right hand side of road approaching from west. Meet at phone box at 9.30. I will be setting out from Cockermouth business park at 8 a.m. if anyone wants to car share. Water levels are low but the pools are still deep so be prepared for wet feet and legs. I strongly recommend carrying spare footwear and lining your rucksack with something waterproof. There are many swimming options but the temperature may not be tempting! If you intend to come please let me know via WhatsApp.
