Tuesday’s meet is High Crag at Buttermere. The crag offers good quality routes in the HS to E1 range. The weather forecast is currently looking good for the afternoon.

I intend to leave Gates Garth at 3pm or slightly later. Please let me know if you are coming, preferably by whatsapp, or email markamegan@gmail.com

Walk in is around 45 mins from Gates Garth Farm. Follow the path across the valley and up towards Scarth Gap until you reach a gate, from where you follow a fence up the hill keeping to the left hand side.

The forecast has become rather hit and miss for tomorrow afternoon, with a damp grey drizzley morning giving way to a potentially better afternoon, but also potentially showery depending on the source of the forecast. Whereas Thursday is looking much better with full sun and lower winds. I am therfore going to postpone this meet until Thursday which looks much more appealing for this higher level crag.

I hope to see you there
    Mark

The walk up to High Crag was hot and sweaty, but the payoff was perfect climbing conditions in the shade of the crag. The advanced party headed up The , which turned into a mass ascent with the arrival of the rest f the team. This was followed by ascents of Artefact and Dry Trim. A pint in the Bridge Inn followed. Thanks to Stewart, Mike W, Pete and Bry for joining me and making it a great evenings climb.
