This Saturday is Grey Crag meet. I’ve been holding back due to the weather looking wet but surprisingly it’s looking like it’s going to be a good day. It’s one of my favourite mountain crags with lots of good routes on it and it should dry fairly quickly. It’s about an hour and a half walk (slog) up to the crag so I will be aiming to be at Gatesgarth Farm for 9.00. I will be traveling from Keswick if anyone wants a lift or I will see you there. Six of us enjoyed a good day on Grey Crag with the weather being on our side. Myself, Craig, Judith, Ed, Geraint and Aileen did Harrow Buttress, Spider Wall, Slabs Ordinary, Slabs West, Chockstone Ridge, Dexter Wall and Oxford and Cambridge Ordinary route. We agreed the long slog up was worth it and it was heaven up high on perfect rock in the sun. We had a pint at the buttermere Inn after to round it all off.
