Described by the FRCC as ‘the jewel in Langdale’s climbing crown’, it’s time for our annual visit to Gimmer crag in Langdale, the weather forecast for Saturday is very good, 20C and light winds in the valleys. As a high mountain crag, it can be cooler, but gets the full sun. The crag is large and very atmospheric offering a good range of grades from VD through to E grades on clean grippy rock offering something for everyone.

I will be at the National Trust Stickle Gill Car Park from 9:00, aiming to leave it for the walk to the crag no later than 9:30. https://maps.app.goo.gl/GiRSAY4kq5dF7AsT8. I’ll be travelling from Coniston and I’m sure there’ll be opportunities on Whatsapp for light sharing from the N. Lakes.
Please let me know via Whatsapp if you plan to come so that I know to wait (or not) in the car park. We’ll try to get everyone teamed up appropriately.
